The US Friends of the Soviet People (USFSP) commemorates the 81st anniversary of Victory over fascism in Europe.
It was on this day, May 9th, in 1945 that the Soviet Union along with the allied powers, defeated fascism in Germany, marking an important milestone in WWII.
Today, the upsurge of fascist ideology throughout the world is a reminder for the progressive peoples to never forgive nor forget its barbarity. Especially in the United States, the encroaching fascist threat is gaining power with the current Trump regime.
To our Soviet Ukrainian comrades who fought fascism in 1945 and continue to fight fascism in 2026 against the current usurpers who have taken over the Ukrainian government.
May the flames of friendship continue between the former Soviet peoples and the American people!
