The US Friends of the Soviet People is excited to add Soviet Life to our archiving efforts alongside Northern Neighbors and Northstar Compass. Soviet Life was a magazine that documented many aspects of social life in the USSR including sports, art, literature, and science. The Soviet Union and the United States had a reciprocal agreement that allowed the distribution of the magazine in the US and in turn, the magazine “America” was distributed in the USSR. Links to all current available issues of the magazine can be found here as well as under the “Brochures, Bulletins, and Media” section of our website.
